Let’s head on over to Chetumal Quintana Roo, Mexico Belize’s next neighboring country. It’s a lot bigger that Corozal Town and if fact boasts a population bigger than Belize. It is the capital of Quintana Roo which is also home to Cancun, Playa del Carmen and Tulum. There are tons to do in Chetumal. Crossing the Belize border and then the Mexican border requires a passport or Id issued by either immigration side. As mentioned before, currency changes from Belize and US dollars to Mexican pesos and easy money exchange can be done at the Belize border or right across the border in Santa Elena.
